The police shooting of a suspect outside the offices of Bergen County Social Services offices in Rochelle Park was the best read story on the county beat in December.

This Dec. 14 story by my Record colleague Richard Cowan and I drew more page views than any other Bergen County story.

Not far behind though was this story by my Record colleague Joan Verdon, also on Dec. 14, on a planned $130 million expansion of the Bergen Town Center mall in Paramus.

My favorite story of December was this Dec. 26 profile of Paul Nickels, a Hackensack man who was appointed to the Bergen County Mental Health Board after years of dealing with homelessness and mental illness.

The most popular video of the month was this one on the tunnels beneath Bergen Regional Medical Center.

And the most popular Record Talk Radio program of the month was this Dec. 8 broadcast featuring excerpts of my interview with outgoing Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli.

This episode, which also featured my Record colleague Bill Ervolino talking about Frank Sinatra, set a record with the most listeners in the four plus year history of the program.
